When we were growing up, a trip to the local stationery or gift shop was nothing short of magic. Picking out a new eraser, running our hands over shelves of colourful bottles, choosing a sharpener just because it looked cool — these were not errands, they were experiences. The joy was in the browsing, the discovery, the small but meaningful decisions.
Where Did the Magic Go?
But somewhere along the way, that magic disappeared. In today's online world, everything is reduced to a search bar. You type bottle and buy the first one that shows up. There is no joy, no variety, no personal connection.
As parents ourselves, we felt that loss deeply. We wanted to gift our children the same little wonders we once had — but we could not find them anymore.
So We Decided to Build It
